Tomme de Normandie
Made in the heart of Normandy by the Isigny Sainte-Mère cooperative, this traditional Tomme showcases the richness of locally collected Norman cow’s milk.
The cheese is matured on wooden boards in the cellars of the Chef-du-Pont dairy, where it develops its characterful natural rind and supple, golden-ivory interior. Approachable yet full of regional personality, it makes an excellent addition to a cheeseboard and is equally enjoyable as an everyday table cheese.
Tasting note
Smooth, supple and gently melting, with fresh milky aromas and a rounded, fruity flavour. A delicate touch of acidity keeps its natural creaminess beautifully balanced, while the finish is mellow, clean and pleasantly lingering.
Serve it with crusty bread, fresh apple or pear, fruit chutney and a glass of traditional Normandy cider.
A little history
The roots of Isigny Sainte-Mère date back to 1909, when 50 dairy farmers from Sainte-Mère-Église and the Cotentin peninsula joined together to protect and promote the exceptional milk produced in their region.
More than a century later, the cooperative continues this Norman dairy tradition. Its Tomme de Normandie is matured for several months on wooden boards at Chef-du-Pont—the same village where the cooperative’s first dairy was established.

We recommend the following quantities per person:
For an after dinner cheese board, 30g to 50g per cheese per person is generally enough and should not leave you with much leftover. If you are planning to have a big table and / or want some cheese to be carried over a few days ,we recommend 60 to 80g per cheese per person.
The number of cheeses is up too you (i say the more the better!) but to achieve a good selection from textures, Strenghs & different milks, 4 to 6 cheeses are recommended.
The average Cheese Weight we recommend:
2 to 4 Guests: 125 to 150g per cheese
6 to 8 Guests: 200 to 250g per Cheese
10 to 12 Guests: 300 to 350g per Cheese
14 to 16 Guests: 450 to 500g per Cheese
