Meet Vincent, the person behind your box

I’m Vincent, owner of The Cheese Yard and a French cheesemonger. Since opening in 2013, we have helped customers discover British and continental cheeses with character.

I choose your subscription cheeses with the same curiosity I bring to our Rare & Unusual range: a balance of flavours and textures, with something new to talk about around the table.

Keeping delivery separate means we can focus your box budget on the quality and variety of your five cheeses. Each box contains approximately 800g, freshly cut and packed with tasting notes.

Our selection follows a 12-month rotation, with a new list beginning in January. Pause or cancel your rolling subscription anytime.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST BOX

Your questions, answered

How is my cheese packed, and how long will it stay fresh?

Your cheeses are freshly cut and sent in insulated packaging inside our branded gift box. For best quality, enjoy them within 5–7 days of delivery. Refrigerate on arrival and follow the individual cheese labels and storage instructions.

What if I’m not in when it arrives?

Royal Mail or DPD will notify you by email and/or text on the morning of delivery. You can use the courier’s notification to specify a safe place if you will be out. Choose somewhere sheltered and out of direct sunlight, and refrigerate your cheese as soon as you receive it.

Can I pause or cancel?

Yes. This is a rolling subscription, billed monthly. You can pause or cancel anytime through your subscription account. Make changes before your next renewal; an order already processed is separate from cancelling future deliveries.

Can I choose my start date?

Yes. Choose your first delivery date using the delivery-date picker during checkout. Deliveries arrive Wednesday to Friday. Your ongoing subscription schedule is shown in your subscription account.

What about allergies, dietary requirements or pregnancy?

Just drop us a line before ordering and we’ll talk you through this month’s selection. Each box is a set selection, so we can’t always offer swaps, but we’ll always tell you honestly whether it suits you. For pregnancy, please check each cheese against current NHS guidance.

Can I collect from Knutsford or Poynton?

Not yet. Subscriptions are currently delivery only. We hope to offer shop collection in the future.

Is delivery included in £38?

Delivery is £5.95 per box, added at checkout. Keeping it separate means your £38 goes on the quality and variety of your cheeses.

Will the cheeses change?

Yes. Our selections rotate on a 12-month basis, with a new list starting in January. The previous box shown above is an example, not a guarantee of the cheeses in your next delivery.
